Preserve Editable Handwriting
Unlike PDF export, this workflow preserves your handwriting as editable strokes.
Requires SSH access to your reMarkable.
First, download your document from your reMarkable via SSH:
scp -r root@10.11.99.1:/home/root/.local/share/remarkable/xochitl/UUID ./my-doc
zip -r my-doc.zip my-doc/Replace UUID with your document's folder name. See docs to find it.
RapidInk PDFs have your settings embedded. Import one to restore your config and re-export handwriting marks to the new PDF. For reMarkable users who want to preserve native handwriting (selection, erasing), use the Notes Preservation feature instead.
